Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
Hope and Maks had a steamy love/hate tango. Hope was bleeding afterwards so to me that should have gotten a 10 right then. War wounds after a tango is hardcore. Instead they got solid 8-8-8s. I’m a little confused. I mean, did you see that forward dip Hope did? That is crazy hard if you don’t know. As far as this cast goes only another pro could have pulled that off. She was bleeding when it was all said and done. Now that’s your goalkeeper doing the tango.
Watching Hope and Maks dance is like watching a different show. Their choreography is just that much harder. Hope is doing some really tough stuff out there only comparable to JR who is also physically gifted. Both of their pros don’t hide their stars. They challenge them. It makes the rest of them look like they are in a high school talent show or quicksand or geriatric.
Once again the judges confuse her with saying she was both too strong and too willowy. What? Pick one, please. She is still listening to you now, but you can completely lose her which would be a shame. All of the compliments are for those who are congratulated for standing upright on the floor. All the comments about people improving are for those who are still dancing like they are in their 90s. Anyway, embrace the glitter. It is just a stupid bedazzled dance show. DWTS has a storyline it wants to play out and Hope got the shit end of it. That package they put together for her is a nail in the coffin. They are so sweet with each other in any video you see of them NOT cut by DWTS/ABC. We saw them do that to Elisabetta too.
Oh, and they used the F-word again. The bastards. You don’t own femininity, judges. And if that word doesn’t include Hope then that’s not a world I want to live in.
And once again: Yes, Maks and Hope like each other. DWTS only shows what they want to show of them and for some reason the storyline they picked for Hope has been a negative one. If you watch video of them outside of ABC’s editing room they look completely different. It’s a tv show, people. ABC is selling a story. In the real world they are friends and hang out and apparently shop in the athletic wear section together.

- Maks and Hope out shopping this week. When not practicing at killing each other in the rehearsal room they get along very well. Wonder which one made sure they walked by the Nike ad.
Media Dump
Hope doesn’t know her own strength. Or Spago’s needs to invest in good wine glasses.
Hope and Maks’ On the Red Carpet interview. Hope is pretty discouraged by the judges comments. Too strong? Not strong enough? None of it made any sense to her. She doesn’t know why she’s gone first two times in five weeks but she doesn’t think that is her best timeslot.
The Insider…Hope doesn’t even notice when she rolls her eyes anymore. LOL. When Len finally gets hit with the actual Death Glare she’ll probably claim accidental manslaughter too. Oh, Hope. This is why we love you. This is what I meant when DWTS didn’t know what they had when they cast her. Hope has a thousand watt smile and a gigawatt death glare all in one package. Wish they weren’t such asshats so she could smile more. How different things could have been if they treated her like the rest of the stars.
CNN Video...Hope is getting more confident and having more fun despite the shenanigans. She can’t do anything about the package DWTS is trying to sell though. I am starting to feel a little ripped off. I want to see more than just The Bickertons, ABC.
ET and Richard Simmons. I have no idea what he was trying to do with Hope, and I don’t think Hope knew either, but fortunately he didn’t actually kiss her. He’s no CJ Sapong for sure.
Hope is fine with letting Carson flirt with Maks because she “[gets] to hold on to him for 5 hours a day!” She’s only jealous when no one flirts with her. Maks should probably let the standing order down.
Hope and Maks on Good Day LA. They make Hope rewatch her cha-cha and she about blushes her way under the table. Maks keeps bringing up her “girliest guy” comment when they first met. I think he likes it or likes seeing Hope scramble whenever it is brought up. They sure know how to get at each other.
Better picture of Hope and Nelly at the ESPN Body Shoot. At some point during the serenade they invited Hope up to sing.
Hope’s photoshoot with W Magazine. Looking very Debra Morgan from Dexter here.
Hope and Maks are interviewed by KVEW TV, a tv station that covers her hometown sports. Very sweet. Interviewer has been covering her for 15 years. Maks says that his favorite part is watching how happy Hope is after she dances on Mondays. He wishes he had more time to teach her instead of this ridiculous turnaround because she’s the perfect student.
