zombie droid

Made this at work for one of their blog posts about zombie behavior in android phones. I never pass on a chance to draw a zombie. It’s something you should know about me.

KO

I made friends with this squirrel. I named her KO and she enjoyed nomming on some of the food I tossed her way. The construction guys who eat their lunches out there have trained her well. I got her to come this close to me because I chittered to her in squirrel. I was a little worried she would jump at me like a face hugger though. KO is a little nuts.

KO

She would hide under the bench and try to army crawl to my feet. Come to think of it, this should have been pretty scary.

The NWSL started up in April. I managed to secure a scarf for my team Seattle Reign even though I’m in Austin and it is too hot for scarves. My team has yet to win a game, and I sorta hate the league, but it is what it is. Between the Chicago Bulls and Seattle Reign the tune “Death March” will forever be playing. Does Nate Robinson have a sister who plays soccer?

This is what I do 1-2 hours a day depending on the flow. Caaaaars. Bumpers. Inching along. Inching. Inching. Austin is in the top ten worst traffic cities. I am part of the problem. :( Soon, train. Soon.

I’ve been watching Bates Motel lately and I love that show. It might be my favorite show this year along with Vikings. My sister and I rewatched the original Psycho. I had watched it a lot when I was a kid (hey, he was my favorite director when I was ten) and I was having a lot of “moments” during it where I was recalling years of rewatches and perspective changes. I also watched his bio picture recently. That one was very well done I thought. At least as an overview to get you interested in reading a proper biography.

Austin Living

I found this adorable nerd graffiti from 1984 written into some cement along the river in Austin. It would only be better if it was “Frodo Lives!”

This speaks for itself. That ad campaign from the 1980s was solid. Over 20 years later and I still did a fistpump when I saw that parked near the sketchy gas station where I buy coconut water.

What else? I’ve been adding to my list of restaurants it is safe and possibly even enjoyable for this celiac girl to eat at. Thank you Austin for taking some of the suck out of celiac.

Here’s the new list:

Wendy’s (baked potato, chocolate shake)
Chipotle (most things beyond the obvious are good)
Red Robin (meat patty/sometimes fries depending on fryer)
Rudy’s BBQ (almost everything but the pudding is fine)
The Clay Pit (I can eat 90% of the food here…I had like a religious experience here. No lie.)
Outback (steak/unseasoned veggies/baked potato)
Snap Kitchen (Stuff clearly marked gf)
